We all have access to one of the greatest time machines in history. This machine is growing at an exponential rate. It is the human brain.
Think of a place and time you'd like to be and there you are. Maybe not physically yet, but stories take us places where we haven't dreamt, but have inspired us to dream and also when you write you can go further down that rabbit hole and you never know what you will find. So don't sell yourself short because fiction will soon be facts. Look at lights, cars and photographs, they were all someone's ideas at one point and now they exist in this realm, so I believe anything is possible just keep believing.
